Habitat in Walworth County understands that families in our community have the potential to stand on their own. All they sometimes need is a helping hand, a way to help themselves so that they can build a better life. Families partner with Habitat to help build and purchase their homes. They make monthly payments on an affordable mortgage, and get to enjoy a safe and stable place to call home. 🏠 With the help of our community members, and volunteers, we are able to help local families.

In 2016, Habitat in Walworth County had the opportunity to provide safe and affordable shelter by building a home alongside a family in Whitewater. The build took long hours of sweat equity, not only from the homeowners, Amber and Damion, but from members of their families along with their friends and dedicated volunteers to accomplish the following: literally standing in the foundation of the future home with snow covered ground helping to install the steel posts and wood beams, siding and insulating the walls, trimming and painting the interior, finally locating the cabinetry and appliances, and much more!

Together we can provide a helping hand to our community members. If you are interested in volunteering for Habitat in Walworth County or would like to learn more about a Habitat home, please contact us through our website or call 262-949-0542.
