A Sound Investment in a Partner Family’s Future
Did you know that your gift does much more than help families escape from unsafe, unhealthy living conditions? Your gift helps families break the cycle of poverty and build long-term financial security. Habitat/Walworth’s affordable, zero interest mortgages free up money for food, child care, and other necessities. And research has shown that decent housing improves health, increases children’s educational achievement and strengthens community ties. There are many ways you can contribute to building homes, communities, and hope with Habitat for Humanity/Walworth County.

Donate to the ReStore
Support Habitat’s mission by donating home furnishings and building supplies you may no longer need. The ReStore accepts donations of new, gently used, and vintage items to resell at several nearby stores/donation centers in Racine, McHenry and Lake Counties as well as Milwaukee. Donations are tax deductible and a pickup service is available for large donations.
Send your gently used furnishings to Lakeshore Estate Resale Shop, Williams Bay in the name of Habitat/Walworth and we will receive credit for your donations.
Consider your legacy, modify your estate plans to include your Walworth County neighbors. Our University of Wisconsin Whitewater Chapter partners received such a donation from visiting with Norbert Jeka as part of the school’s Nursing Home visitation program.
Donations of new construction materials and/or contracting services help Habitat/Walworth reduce building and program costs. In-kind donations of goods and services are tax-deductible and a great way to donate or promote your company. See our “Wish List” on the “Get Involved” page.
Does your workplace run an annual giving campaign? You can help us serve more families in need of decent shelter by directing your workplace contribution to Habitat for Humanity/Walworth County. Contribute to United Way campaigns.
