Habitat Walworth next build search is on!

Habitat for Humanity in Walworth County is now completing its fifteenth Walworth house in Whitewater and beginning the process of selecting a family for another.

“Habitat/Walworth is anxious to continue our mission of providing affordable homes to qualified Walworth residents. With the completion of a sweet three bedroom home on Franklin St. in Whitewater, we look forward to our next project. Our team is eager to build another in either Genoa City or Delavan” says Larry Green, Executive Director.

Applications for a new home in Walworth County will  be open in  April thru May, 2024. The forms are available on this Habitat/Walworth website at habitatwalworth.org, or by calling the info line at 262-949-0542.

Habitat/Walworth continues to seek applications for it’s A BRUSH WITH KINDNESS PROGRAM, especially directed at exterior and landscaping home repairs. Again, forms are available on the website or through the info line.

The Family Selection Committee (a committee that is part of Habitat in Walworth County) will soon begin interviewing applicants and making home visits to narrow down the selection.

Given that we are planning to build again in 2024, there will be plenty of opportunities for volunteers to be involved in the process from start to finish. Volunteers of every skill are welcome.

If you’re interested in volunteering, check out the skills survey on our website: https://habitatwalworth.org/skills-survey/ or call: 262-949-0542.
